It goes without saying that the ones that are free enjoy a wider user base. And now, the already widely used QuickOffice by Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) is free. The company has taken the price tag off this hugely popular app and it will be free for all. Now everyone will be able to access and utilize certain Microsoft programs and documents at no charge, via iOS and Android devices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0This app was available for free since the middle of last week. Alan Warren, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)\u2019s engineering vice-president said that with this change, anyone who uses a supported device will be able to retrieve as well as edit Microsoft office documents. This means greater freedom of working irrespective of which device is being used.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<b>Google Drive integration <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0But there is much more to it. This app will also now integrate with the Google Drive.\u00a0Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) has announced that when a user signs into his\/her Google account via QuckOffice before 26 September, they would be eligible for an additional 10GB virtual data-storage with a validity of 2 years. This will be beneficial for users who are not very conversant with using Google docs, Slides and Sheets. They will no longer have to covert the Microsoft Office documents into Google Doc files and the conversion will be a seamless one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<b>More convenience<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Apart from this, QuickOffice has some other interesting features as well. It has a brand new logo and users will be able to view charts via Powerpoint and MS Excel and also create Zip folders instantly. Apart from all of this, the application is Android and iOS compatible, which means that it will work across almost all devices.
