The board appointments by the company were accepted by Eric G. Johnson, the President and CEO of Baldwin Richardson Foods Company and Sam Duncan, President and CEO of Supervalu Inc. As a result of these appointments, the resultant 11-person board will include 6 directors who are independent under New York Stock listing standards. The tender offer agreement by and between Supervalu Inc, Symphony Investors and Cerberus Capital Management involved with the appointments of Johnson and Duncan have been completed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At present, Supervalu Incorporation is currently +15.36% up on the total number of 11,806,045 traded shares following the announcement of the company\u2019s first quarter results of the fiscal year which indicated the net sales of $ 5.16 billion when compared with the last year\u2019s net sales of $5.24 leading to 1.5% decrease. The company produced the net earnings of $85 million or $0.34 for each diluted share in contrast to the last year\u2019s earnings of $41 million or $0.19 per share. Currently, Supervalu Inc is +380.36% above its recent 52-week low. This has prompted the Growing Stock Report to include the stock of Supervalu Inc into the NYSE Gainers Watch List.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the last trading session, the shares of Supervalu Inc have climbed by 15.81% to the price of $ 7.85. Supervalu Inc opened the shares at the cost of $ 6.88. The shares closed at the price of $ 6.83 after losing -1.01% for the day.
