Kansas City Chiefs<\/u><\/a> wideout Justyn Ross is facing an additional charge after he was arrested Monday in connection with a domestic violence incident, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ross, who was signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2022, was arrested in Shawnee, Kansas, at around 2:30 p.m. local time and was initially charged with criminal damage<\/u><\/a> of more than $25,000, according to a booking report from the Johnson County Sheriff\u2019s Office.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The report notes that the alleged crime happened related to a domestic violence incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n

CHIEFS RECEIVER JUSTYN ROSS ARRESTED ON FELONY DAMAGE CHARGE IN KANSAS<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

A public information officer with the sheriff\u2019s department told Fox News Digital Tuesday that Ross will be expected in court later that day when he will face formal charges. The case has since been handed over to the District Attorney\u2019s Office.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Kansas City Star reported Tuesday that Ross is now facing two misdemeanor charges of\u00a0domestic battery with no priors and criminal damage to property totaling less than $1,000.<\/p>\n

According to the criminal complaint obtained by the outlet, the alleged victim was identified as someone Ross “is or has been in a dating relationship” with. The report listed property damage to a laptop, phone, computer monitor, jewelry and a car key.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Kansas City Star also reported, citing dispatch calls, that the victim accused Ross of “dragging her through” the house.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Chiefs said they were aware of the arrest but declined to comment on Monday. Reps for Ross did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ross has appeared in all seven games this season and has three catches for 34 yards. He missed the entire 2022 season with a foot injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n
