(NASDAQ:PSTI) enters in partnership for Korean market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Boston, MA 27\/06\/2013 (wallstreetpr) &#8211; Pluristem Therapeutics announced today that Pluristem Ltd., its wholly owned subsidiary, has entered into an exclusive strategic partnership and out-licenses agreement with Cha Bio&amp;Diostech for the usage of PLX (Pluristem&#8217;s PLacental eXpanded) cells for the treatment of PAD (peripheral artery disease) in the two indications, specifically: for the treatment of Intermediate Claudication (IC) and Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) in South Korea. The terms of the agreement say that under the supervision of KFDA (Korea Food &amp; Drug Administration), Cha Bio&amp;Diostech will fund and perform several clinic trials for the treatment of CLI and IC by using PLX-PAD in South Korea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As soon as they receive the 1st regulatory approval for a PLX product in South Korea, Cha Bio&amp;Diostech and Pluristem Ltd. will establish their joint venture co-owned by the companies. The main purpose of the joint venture will be to commercialize and advertise PLX cell products in South Korea. According to Clearstate, a market research firm, about one million people in South Korea have PAD. The firm also confirms that the growth forecast for the number of people treated and diagnosed in the country is moderate to high.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While Pluristem Ltd. continues to retain rights to its cell-related intellectual property and proprietary manufacturing technology, Cha Bio&amp;Diostech , for the agreed upon indications, will handle the cost of conducting the clinical trials. The data generated by Cha Bio&amp;Diostech can be used by Pluristem Ltd. to achieve the development of PLX product candidates which are outside the South Korea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pluristem Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:PSTI) closed at $3.08 after moving 3.33% (or $0.10) upwards.
