Usher has been confirmed as the headliner for the Super Bowl LVIII<\/a> in Las Vegas, Nevada.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The decision was announced by Apple Music Sunday morning via the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can\u2019t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they\u2019ve seen from me before,” Usher said, according to Variety. “Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I\u2019ll see you real soon.”<\/p>\n

In terms of guests, Usher said during an Apple Music<\/a> halftime headliner special that there are many more Sundays to discuss who might join him during the performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Usher follows last year’s performance from Rihanna, who publicly showcased her second pregnancy during the Super Bowl LVII halftime show in Arizona. Nearly 119 million viewers tuned in, and the Federal Communications Commission received over 100 complaints after the big game, with many claiming the show was “overtly sexual” in nature, TMZ reported.<\/p>\n

We look forward to continuing the work with our local partners to provide an extraordinary experience for the Las Vegas community and show fans around the world what this city has to offer.”<\/p>\n

Taylor Swift reportedly turned down the chance to perform at Super Bowl LVIII due to being too busy with her Eras world tour, according to the Daily Mail. She has not publicly offered comment on the decision.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The game takes place on Feb. 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas,<\/a> Nevada.\u00a0<\/p>\n
