A police officer in Argentina allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend dead<\/a> earlier this week at her workplace after barging in and claiming, “You\u2019re mine or no one\u2019s,” according to reports.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sergio Patricio Galv\u00e1n, a police officer in Formosa, barged into the beauty center where his ex-girlfriend Teresita Luciana L\u00f3pez worked as a secretary Monday. After declaring she would be with him or no one else, he allegedly shot and killed her before entering a bathroom and attempting suicide.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Galv\u00e1n shot himself once in the abdomen and another time in the head, but he survived and was transferred to Formosa Central Hospital for treatment, according to Argentine outlet<\/a> TN. He then was heard shouting, “Look what you made me do.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police learned Galv\u00e1n, 35, and L\u00f3pez, 34, had “maintained a romantic relationship” but broke up in August.\u00a0<\/p>\n

People familiar with the couple said Galv\u00e1n took the breakup badly and had continued to harass L\u00f3pez to the point she was going to report him, though police confirmed<\/a> they had not received any complaints prior to the murder.\u00a0<\/p>\n

L\u00f3pez was reportedly going to file a complaint the day she was murdered. She had told him she was at work, and he showed up minutes later.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He used his service pistol to commit the murder, according to Jam Press. Police will conduct an autopsy on L\u00f3pez to determine how many times Galv\u00e1n shot her, and Galv\u00e1n remains in intensive care at the hospital.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mariana Barbetti, the salon owner, told the media<\/a> she was in her office when she heard a receptionist urge someone to call the police.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“At first, I thought it was a robbery and went out onto the street through the window,” Barbetti said. “That\u2019s where I saw the girl waiting in the waiting room, and she said, \u2018Doctor, a man came in, shot your receptionist, and then shot himself.\u2019”<\/p>\n

L\u00f3pez\u2019s sister Patricia wrote on social media<\/a> that she doesn\u2019t know how to “go on without you.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
