Canadian psychologist and author Dr. Jordan Peterson<\/u><\/a> said he plans to broadcast all aspects of the “social media training” he was ordered to undergo following a series of controversial posts he shared online.<\/p>\n

An Ontario court upheld a decision last week ordering Peterson, a media personality and professor emeritus of the University of Toronto psychology department, to complete a social media training course on professionalism in public statements or risk potentially losing his license to practice.<\/p>\n

In an interview on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Wednesday, Peterson said he will comply with the order, but will publicize his entire experience so the public can “decide for themselves” how to interpret the order.<\/p>\n

Part of the order read: “The order is not disciplinary and does not prevent Dr. Peterson from expressing himself on controversial topics\u2026 ” according to CBC.<\/p>\n

CANADIAN COURT UPHOLDS JORDAN PETERSON FORCED TO UNDERGO \u2018SOCIAL MEDIA TRAINING\u2019 OVER CONTROVERSIAL POSTS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

“I’m going to do everything I can to make all of\u00a0this as public as I possibly\u00a0can,” he told Fox News’ Jesse Watters. “I have done that from\u00a0the beginning.\u00a0I released all the documents\u00a0that included the\u00a0charges, so to speak, that the\u00a0college has levied against me.\u00a0I want to make this 100%\u00a0transparent and let the\u00a0public decide for themselves who\u00a0exactly is acting, let\u2019s say, in\u00a0an unprofessional capacity.”<\/p>\n

Depending on the legalities involved, Peterson said he will either use film, audio recordings or “extensive notes and commentary afterward” to ensure his experience is well-documented and widely shared.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“My plan is to make\u00a0everything that’s done to me\u00a0public and if I can do that by\u00a0filming, well, then, I’ll do\u00a0that\u2026 Somehow, everything that happens\u00a0is going to be made public.\u00a0It is absolutely necessary,”\u00a0he added.<\/p>\n

The College of Psychologists of Ontario previously claimed that several of Peterson\u2019s social media posts could be viewed as professional misconduct and required him to take a social media training course, stating that if he refused, he could lose his psychology license in Ontario.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Peterson filed a judicial review of the order, but the Ontario court, which came to a unanimous decision among the three judges, dismissed his request.<\/p>\n

At the center of the academic body’s complaint were a number of Peterson’s social media posts calling out transgender ideology, politicians and other topics. He was suspended in 2022 from Twitter, the platform now known as X, after rebuking transgender actor Elliot Page<\/a> for having her “breasts removed by a criminal physician.”<\/p>\n

Peterson maintained that his posts were his “opinions” and that he felt an obligation in his professional capacity as a psychologist to call out “sadistic” treatments and surgeries, among other things, that he considers “absolutely not acceptable.”<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m perfectly willing to state that I am stating my opinions on\u00a0Twitter and social media in my professional capacity,” Peterson said. “So, for example, the comments I\u00a0made about Ellen Page, you know,\u00a0I\u2019m not the least bit happy\u00a0about what the sadistic surgeon\u00a0butchers are doing to minors, and\u00a0I\u2019m also not very happy about\u00a0narcissistic, let\u2019s say,\u00a0celebrities parading off their\u00a0new, surgically enhanced body\u00a0and enticing young women, for\u00a0example, into becoming sterilized\u00a0and butchered, so I think I have a professional\u00a0obligation like all therapists\u00a0and all physicians to say very\u00a0clearly that this is 100%\u00a0absolutely not acceptable.”<\/p>\n

The court’s decision, Peterson has said, is an attack on his free speech, adding that it represents the “unraveling of all the\u00a0principles upon which my country\u00a0and yours are predicated.”<\/p>\n

“And\u00a0that’s part of the ideological\u00a0possession that has swept over\u00a0Canada in particular,” he told host Jesse Watters.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Peterson offered his personal assessment<\/a> of the enticement among the left to challenge the fundamental freedoms and principles in place in the West.<\/p>\n

“People have been motivated by spite and\u00a0resentment forever,” he added. “It’s a story as old as mankind.\u00a0It’s as old as the story of Kane and Abel to tear down what’s successful and useful in spite\u00a0because your own sacrifices,\u00a0let\u2019s say, have apparently gone\u00a0unrewarded, and that is just the same old\u00a0endless, archetypal story playing\u00a0out in political guise.”<\/p>\n

“There is no shortage of\u00a0people as well, especially on the\u00a0more psychopathic side of the continuum, who will adopt the camouflage of compassion\u2026 to tear\u00a0everything down and dance around\u00a0in the ruins.”<\/p>\n

“Everybody is in a position in their lives to\u00a0feel alienated from existence\u00a0itself from time to time,”\u00a0he said. “Life is pretty difficult and\u00a0things don\u2019t often always turn\u00a0out the way we want them to, and we can all doubt the meaning\u00a0of our own lives and the purpose\u00a0and we’re all subject to a\u00a0certain amount of torture, and one of\u00a0the temptations there is to\u00a0get bitter and resentful and to lash out, to\u00a0look for enemies and to tear down tradition, merely to\u00a0shake your fist at destiny itself and to express their\u00a0dismay.”<\/p>\n

“It’s a constant temptation for\u00a0everyone, in some ways \u2014 to be tempted, to\u00a0be enticed down that pathway, but\u00a0it’s a very dreadful state.\u00a0The freedoms that we\u00a0put in place in the West, especially the freedom of speech, is predicated on the viewpoint\u00a0that human existence is\u00a0worthwhile and so is being\u00a0itself and that we should orient\u00a0ourselves properly upward and,\u00a0well, some people\u00a0think that is a good idea and\u00a0some people take the opposite tack.”<\/p>\n
