But that’s not all! The fun is just getting started.<\/p>\n

This week we’re excited to shine the spotlight on <\/strong>Charles Payne<\/a>. He’s the host of\u00a0FOX Business Network\u2019s “Making Money with Charles Payne”\u00a0<\/i>(weekdays 2-3 p.m. ET). He joined FOX News Media as a contributor in 2007 and provides financial analysis across the FOX Business Network and FOX News Channel.\u00a0<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> We loved board\u00a0games. My favorite was Stratego, which we still play from time to time. I love cards \u2014 played Spades as a kid and now love Bid Whist.<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> Love(d) Monopoly. And Park Place with Boardwalk (otherwise it’s like peanut butter\u00a0without jelly).<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> “Twilight Zone.” “Wild Wild West.” “Mission Impossible.”<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> “Godfather\u00a0of Harlem.”<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> Start. Start. Start. Don’t wait for the foolproof play because it doesn’t\u00a0exist.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Do something today \u2014 buy stocks<\/a>, land, art, even watches this year. The best-performing watch wasn’t the super-expensive Pateks and Rolexes.<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> I like potential return to be twice as large as potential risk. Other factors, adjust for time\/duration and alternative options.\u00a0<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> When I started, I used to get chart books mailed to me weekly and during the week fill them in manually \u2014 time-consuming is an understatement \u2014 but it helped me find winners faster, as technology takes away elbow grease that creates intuitiveness.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The most important has been help in gathering research for my daily commentary and other research products. <\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> Only until recently did it make any sense to have much money in savings \u2014 and at some point\u00a0rates are going to come back down, and it will mean you have to seek alternatives to stay ahead of inflation and build a real nest egg.\u00a0<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> At 8 to 9 years of age, with chores and allowances. I also have a family-wide\u00a0program\u00a0of rewarding a silver coin for every three, as on report cards \u2014 so they are getting paid to excel in different ways.<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> Never give up. To this day, there are a number of hurdles\u00a0I cleared, and I’m still not sure how \u2014 really on the verge of ruin, getting kicked out of homes and businesses, etc. So never stop grinding\u00a0and believing.<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> The biggest surprise is there haven’t been any surprises per se. Life is as hard as I was warned but also as beautiful\u00a0as I was promised.\u00a0<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> “Against the Gods.”<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> Pandora.\u00a0<\/p>\n

CP:<\/strong> Party less. Give more.\u00a0<\/p>\n
