This means the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/joe-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden administration<\/a> will not be able to get any health agency nominees confirmed if he holds true to his promise.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/bernie-sanders-doubled-2022-income-profits-book-railing-against-capitalism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>BERNIE SANDERS DOUBLED HIS 2022 INCOME WITH PROFITS FROM BOOK RAILING AGAINST CAPITALISM<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fox News Digital reached out to the Biden administration for comment but did not immediately receive a response.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sanders.senate.gov\/in-the-news\/bernie-sanders-new-rules-hhs-nominees-must-commit-to-drug-price-cuts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">threatened to block<\/a> any of Biden&#8217;s nominees last year who he said weren&#8217;t prepared to &#8220;stand up and fight&#8221; against the drug industry and its pricing of drugs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I will strongly oppose any future nominee to a major federal health agency who is not prepared to significantly lower the price of prescription drugs in this country,&#8221; he wrote at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Biden announced Bertagnolli&#8217;s nomination on May 15. She currently serves as the director of the National Cancer Institute, a role she has held since October 2022.
