The shares had been trading in the range of $9.58 to $10.20 during the day. Dean Foods Co. (NYSE:DF) had recently completed the spinoff of its organic foods division through distribution of class A and class B stock. The Whitewave Foods (NYSE:WWAV) was divided into 47.7 million shares of class A stock and 67.9 million shares of class B stock and distributed to the existing shareholders.
