{"id":68213,"date":"2023-05-31T05:00:59","date_gmt":"2023-05-31T09:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cablemanpro.com\/wallstreetpr\/target-diversity-chief-demands-white-women-get-to-work-against-americas-systemic-racism-68213"},"modified":"2023-05-31T05:00:59","modified_gmt":"2023-05-31T09:00:59","slug":"target-diversity-chief-demands-white-women-get-to-work-against-americas-systemic-racism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cablemanpro.com\/wallstreetpr\/target-diversity-chief-demands-white-women-get-to-work-against-americas-systemic-racism-68213","title":{"rendered":"Target diversity chief demands &#8216;White women&#8217; get to work against America&#8217;s systemic racism"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/target-vp-marketing-holds-senior-position-at-org-pushing-transgender-agenda-into-k-12-public-schools\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Target Corporation diversity executive<\/a> demanded &#8220;White women&#8221; get to work to combat the supposed systemic racism in America, while adding the retail giant was making some internal decisions based on predictions of shifting demographics.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One of the hardest things in the world to be every day is Black,&#8221; Keira Fernandez, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/pentagon-diversity-chief-receives-no-disciplinary-action-after-probe-anti-white-posts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chief Diversity &amp; Inclusion Officer at Target<\/a>, said in early 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Target has ramped up its DEI efforts, in particular after the death of George Floyd. Target established the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/st-louis-da-injected-aggressive-racial-equity-ideology-prosecution-decisions-using-soros-linked-org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Racial Equity<\/a> Action and Change \u2013 which is lead by Fernandez \u2013 to rapidly &#8220;accelerate&#8221; those efforts. The task force focuses on engaging Black customers in stores and ramping up promotions and hiring of Black employees. The retail giant also promised to drastically increase its demographics of Black employees \u2013 which was at 50%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;[W]e\u2019re on track to spend more than $2 billion with Black-owned brands by 2025. We\u2019ve already increased our investments with Black-owned companies and suppliers \u2014 including marketing agencies, construction companies, facilities maintenance and more \u2013 by 50% since 2020,&#8221; Fernandez said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/woke-department-defense-equity-chief-writes-anti-white-posts-exhausted-white-folx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&#8216;WOKE&#8217; DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE EQUITY CHIEF WRITES ANTI-WHITE POSTS: &#8216;EXHAUSTED WITH THESE WHITE FOLX&#8217;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And in that shift, it&#8217;s important for us to\u2026 think about how do we start planting seeds today that prepare for those future\u2026 demographic shifts,&#8221; she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She proceeded to say that it was the role of &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/professor-white-people-become-less-damaging-dismantle-whiteness\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">White women<\/a>&#8221; to call out &#8220;transgressions.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think the number one thing that I would encourage White women to do is take the [DEI] learnings\u2026 and use your voice\u2026 so the woman of color in the room doesn&#8217;t always have to.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She then singled out a White person present in the panel discussion and said that her voice, on the basis of her race, would be given more weight in the workplace.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/new-york-forces-all-city-employees-into-radical-racial-equity-training\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>NYC FORCES ALL CITY EMPLOYEES TO UNDERGO RADICAL CRITICAL RACE THEORY TRAINING: &#8216;REALLY UNFAIR&#8217;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Because whether it&#8217;s right or not\u2026 there are places that you and I will go where your voice will be heard differently than mine. And that is why we&#8217;re doing this work. That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s so important to have this conversation. But we also can&#8217;t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/professor-demands-black-people-special-paid-time-off-deal-fatigue-trauma-systemic-racism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ignore the systemic history<\/a> that got us here and then the things that we have to do differently to remove those barriers,&#8221; she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Target Corporation did not immediately respond to a request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;[Target&#8217;s] tolerance for intolerance will definitely be a significant challenge to any company that&#8217;s thinking about how they build a culture. It was talking about culture like that&#8217;s so deeply woven in your strategy. It has to be,&#8221; she said. &#8220;So it is daunting. It&#8217;s not for the faint-hearted. It is it. But it gets easier every day.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Given the calls for racial equity over the past year, we know that many companies are standing up or deepening their investments in their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/donors-flee-from-very-disturbed-university-in-oklahoma-amid-radical-dei-agenda-better-named-die\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diversity and inclusion work<\/a>\u2026 DE&amp;I is not meant to rest on one individual\u2019s shoulders,&#8221;
