News from New York Jets practice on Tuesday centered around new quarterback Aaron Rodgers<\/a> tweaking his calf, which he revealed during his media appearance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But it was also reported that wide receiver Allen Lazard, the former Green Bay Packer<\/a> who signed with the Jets this offseason prior to the Rodgers\u2019 trade, also made a brief exit from practice.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lazard was walking off with trainers, but he managed to return and practice the rest of the day.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old bluntly revealed what happened on Twitter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m good y\u2019all,” he wrote, “not sure why they didn\u2019t report that I practiced the rest of the day at 100% but I\u2019m good lol. Just got hit in the gonads.”<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s good news for Jets fans<\/a> knowing that one of their top free agent signees isn\u2019t seriously injured and returned to practice.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rodgers sat out of team drills after the calf tweak during “pre-practice conditioning,” he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Take it day by day,” Rodgers said, via SNY.\u00a0<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Rich Cimini added, “I don\u2019t think it\u2019s too serious.”<\/p>\n

Tuesday marked the first day of the Jets\u2019 voluntary OTAs. Rodgers hadn\u2019t been accustomed to attending those with the Packers over the last few years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rodgers is apparently trying to build a rapport<\/a> with his new teammates, but the injury could change that, at least this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While these practices will be sporadic until June 9, the Jets hold mandatory minicamp <\/a>from June 13-15.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
