The undisputed lightweight champion<\/u><\/a> appeared to lose his composure at Friday\u2019s ceremonial weigh-in before his championship defense.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Devin Haney shoved Vasiliy Lomachenko<\/u><\/a> in the chest at Friday\u2019s ceremonial weigh-in as the two prepare to enter the ring on Saturday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Haney will likely be fined for the shove and the Nevada State Athletic Commission<\/u><\/a> will reportedly file a complaint for a disciplinary hearing with its attorney\u2019s office, per ESPN.<\/p>\n

Lomachenko said Haney doesn\u2019t have the power to beat him after being pushed.<\/p>\n

“Now he\u2019s mine. He don\u2019t have the power,” Lomachenko said after the shove.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Because he\u2019s scared. He\u2019s scared,” Lomachenko said when asked why Haney shoved him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The crowd at the weigh-in booed Haney after he walked off the stage following the shove.<\/p>\n

“The time has finally come. It\u2019s been a long time coming,” Haney said. “It\u2019s been four years. I\u2019ve always dreamed of facing off with him, and the emotions set in now that it\u2019s finally time.”<\/p>\n

“That was just the start,” Haney said when asked what message he was trying to send with the shove. “You see how easy I pushed him? He’s a smaller man, and I’m gonna impose my will on him.”<\/p>\n

Haney won the undisputed lightweight championship<\/u><\/a> in June and retained the belt in a rematch with George Kambosos Jr. in October.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lomachenko, 35, has never been an undisputed champion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“This is my goal, this is my dream [to be undisputed],” Lomachenko told the New York Post. “And now, it\u2019s very, very close to me. We followed this dream, to this goal, for a very long time.”\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
