On the eve of its first IPO anniversary, Menlo, California-based Facebook has successfully revved up revenue of $1.46 billion in its report for the quarter. <\/em>This has risen by <\/em>36 percent from the $1.06 billion that it stood at, a year ago. However, just as FB has followed-up fastidiously on its decision to ramp up its advertising efforts, it\u2019s not yet clear whether the users are appreciative of it. The company has been trying to change the traditional concept of advertising only at the top right hand corner of the website. \u00a0That is exactly what the company was doing before it filed its IPO. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) launched ads for the first time on News Feed and mobile devices.<\/p>\n It also created “special widgets” for various ads that promote the installments of third-party applications. FB also launched a small e-commerce store, the response for which still has to pick up pace. Facebook had said a year ago that it was never originally created to actually be a company.
