The new strain of whooping cough virus was initially spotted in countries like Japan, France and Finland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Whooping cough is a highly fatal disease that can attack people of any age group but children are more vulnerable to it. Once it was very common some years back, but cases in the U.S dropped ever since the vaccine was introduced in the 1940s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There has been an incessant increment in the number of people down with whooping cough. An increase in the number of cases in the recent years, blames by degrees the version of the vaccine which has been in use since the 1990s, which doesn&#8217;t last long. According to a preliminary count, last year\u2019s CDC reports filed 41,880 cases which included 18 death cases as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new theories by researchers allege that the new whooping cough damage is the major reason why more people have been getting sick. The new bug was first found in France, where more rigorous and exhaustive testing is done regularly for whooping cough. The strain has now scored for 14% of cases there.
