These flights suffered these bird strikes during takeoff and had to return back.<\/p>\n<p>Flight 831 which was scheduled to Santiago in the Dominican Republic had to return back to JFK airport after the bird hit immediately after takeoff, while yesterday at about 9.59 a.m. the flight 721 returned to the airport after the bird strike. These facts were revealed by the company spokeswoman Tamara Bentham. She also had to add on that there was no significant damage to both planes which experienced the bird strike; however these were only a few rare experiences by the airways of such nature.<\/p>\n<p>The earlier incident where a flock of geese struck a Flight of US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE:LCC) and forced the emergency landing of the flight also took place 90 seconds after takeoff. However the incident famously known as the \u2018Miracle of the Hudson\u2019 was not fatal and the flight was landed safely on the Hudson River by Captain Chesley Sullenberger III. The incident took place at the same Airport however four years ago. The entire coverage of the incident first reported by the New York Post is still fresh in everyone\u2019s minds. .<\/p>\n<p>Shares of JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ:JBLU) were up by 0.51% to end at $5.90<\/p>\n<p>Shares of US Airways Group, Inc.
