An arrest warrant has been issued for Dallas Cowboys<\/a> rookie edge rusher Sam Williams for his alleged role in a violent December car crash.<\/p>\n

The Plano Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital the warrant is for “reckless driving” and is a Class B misdemeanor in the state of Texas. TMZ Sports was first to report the story.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Williams, 23, has been contacted by police<\/a> about turning himself in.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Williams was reportedly driving near\u00a0Texas State Highway<\/a>\u00a0121 and Preston Road when his Corvette struck another vehicle.\u00a0Both Williams and the driver of the other car were transported to a hospital for treatment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police also said Williams<\/a>\u00a0may have been speeding before the crash.\u00a0The arrest warrant confirms their belief that’s what happened.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Williams has played in a reserve role with the Cowboys this season after being selected in the second round out of Ole Miss in the\u00a02022 NFL Draft<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound lineman finished his first season with four sacks, 15 combined tackles and one forced fumble in 15 games.\u00a0<\/p>\n
