Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy warned the left is \u2018far more savvy\u2019 in censoring their political opponents on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Podcast host Joe Rogan compared Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy cracking down on speech in his country<\/a> to the recent revelations from the Twitter Files in the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“They\u2019re doing that over in America, we found out that because of the Twitter Files<\/a>,” Rogan said. “When Elon released all the Twitter Files they found that the United States Government was actively trying to suppress the voices of certain people that were saying things they found disagreeable on Twitter.”<\/p>\n

Portnoy responded if talking in political terms, the left is better at silencing opponents on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“For whatever reason, one thing that also I think is kind of self-evident-if you\u2019re talking \u2018left\u2019 and \u2018right,\u2019 the left is far more savvy with social media,” he said. “The right generally wants to just sling it out, they\u2019ll let you say anything, and they\u2019re not going to complain they\u2019re not going to violate like \u2018oh that\u2019s a violation\u2019 and complain. The left will, and it\u2019s a good tactic to get the right off.”<\/p>\n

Rogan added, “But it\u2019s also because the left is in control of all of the social media platforms, whereas the right has nothing, there\u2019s no social media platform-there\u2019s people that try to accuse Elon Musk of being right wing, but I think that\u2019s just because Elon Musk has said that Democrats are out of their f—ing minds.”<\/p>\n

Rogan mentioned the Twitter Files again, saying that Elon revealing Twitter\u2019s inner workings was a political revelation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s one of the most substantial and significant aspects of Elon buying twitter-is these files being released, where you\u2019re getting to see the actual involvement of intelligence agencies the actual banned lists and blocked lists and shadow-banned, and how they\u2019re suppressing people\u2019s signals,” Rogan said.<\/p>\n

He added, “It\u2019s pretty f—-ing wild sh– and it\u2019s almost entirely done to people that are on the right, and then the people on the left<\/a> that are dissenters.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
