Detroit Lions<\/u><\/a> head coach Dan Campbell knows exactly what his team will see in quarterback Mike White when they travel to New York on Sunday to take on the New York Jets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s tough.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what Campbell told reporters of White, following his gritty performance in the Jets\u2019 20-12 loss to the Buffalo Bills.<\/u><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

JETS\u2019 ZACH WILSON CALLS LAST FEW WEEKS A \u2018LEARNING EXPERIENCE\u2019 AFTER BEING NAMED BACKUP AGAINST LIONS<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

“I got a lot of respect for him. I\u2019m watching Buffalo last week, and I mean those two hits \u2013 I say two, there was more than two \u2013 but two that got him out of the game for a minute before he came back. Those were significant hits, and he stood in there and just took it right in the ribs.”<\/p>\n

Campbell said White seemed “unaffected” and “unfazed” upon returning to the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“You know it didn\u2019t feel good. I got a lot of respect watching him. I was impressed. I was like, \u2018Okay this guy\u2019s \u2013 it doesn\u2019t matter.\u2019 He just needed a breather just to make sure everything\u2019s still intact. But once he came back in \u2013 you can see why those guys rally around him. He\u2019s tough, he\u2019s tough.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

White told reporters on Thursday that he “feels good” and there\u2019s no doubt that he\u2019ll start on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Like I said Monday, I\u2019m preparing as such, and until something changes, then we\u2019ll cross that bridge when we get there.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Jets\u2019<\/u><\/a> are hoping to break their 11-year playoff drought, while the Lions, who have won five of their last six, are also on the playoff bubble.\u00a0<\/p>\n
