A Phoenix mother who went viral for showing up to a local school board meeting<\/a> dressed as a cat said she wore the costume to drive home her point about the school’s woke agenda.<\/p>\n

A video of Lindsey Graham<\/a>, the host of the “Patriot Barbie” podcast, swept across the internet last month featuring the Arizona mother in a complete cat costume as she voiced her concerns about the confusing message a member of the school board, who identifies as transgender, was sending to elementary-age children.<\/p>\n

“This was a local school in my\u00a0neighborhood where there was a\u00a0member of the school board whose\u00a0name is Paul Bixler.\u00a0He\u2019s a man, he\u2019s very clearly a man,” Graham, who sported her viral cat costume, said in an appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“The only thing he does to\u00a0identify as a female is put\u00a0lipstick on.\u00a0He grew his hair out a little bit, and he wears\u00a0his deceased wife\u2019s clothing to\u00a0school, to sporting events, to\u00a0school events to fundraisers, school events in front of the\u00a0children.”<\/p>\n

EDUCATION AND THE MIDTERMS: WHAT VOTERS DECIDED IN CONSEQUENTIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS ACROSS THE COUNTRY<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

“Believe it or not, he actually demands on\u00a0being identified one of two\u00a0ways, either Paul, which is a man\u2019s name\u00a0or Ms. Bixler,” she continued “It\u2019s very clear he has a gender\u00a0identity crisis.\u00a0Not only does he appear in front\u00a0of the children and insist that the children\u00a0define him as a woman, but he sits on\u00a0the board and he\u2019s making decisions\u00a0for these children.”<\/p>\n

In a portion of the viral exchange that aired on Fox News, Graham asked parents and members of the school board whether they would address her as a cat if she identified as one.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m a cat. Meow, meow. I\u2019m not a woman dressed as a cat. I am a cat. How many of you believe and confess that I\u2019m a cat?” she asked. “How many of you believe that your child or a child from this school would believe that I\u2019m actually a cat? No one. You\u2019re right. Truth prevails over imagination. Reality exists. Discernment is innate and something that we\u2019re wired to have. One look at me, and you know this to be true. I\u2019m a woman posing as a cat.”<\/p>\n

Graham said she was trying to send a very simple message at the school board meeting.<\/p>\n

“The point I was trying to make\u00a0as a cat was that obviously you can\u2019t just\u00a0identify as whatever you want\u00a0and demand that other people\u00a0identify you as whatever you\u00a0want,” she told Fox News host Jesse Watters. “But someone with this kind\u00a0of mental illness can enjoy that\u00a0mental illness all they want in\u00a0the comfort of their home.\u00a0But when you put them in charge of\u00a0children, we\u2019re talking about a\u00a0new type of indoctrination, and that\u2019s what\u2019s really terrifying, is seeing these\u00a0people in charge of our kids’\u00a0education.”<\/p>\n

“This is elementary school.\u00a0So these are young vulnerable\u00a0minds.\u00a0The teachers, the rest of the\u00a0school board are identifying him\u00a0as Ms. while he\u2019s talking in just the deepest manly voice that he was born with and\u00a0so to see these parents take no\u00a0responsibility for the education\u00a0of these kids and to teach them\u00a0true right and wrong and true\u00a0biology and true facts and\u00a0science and truths is just so\u00a0alarming that we have this in\u00a0the school system,” she added.<\/p>\n

PARENTS, EXPERTS SEE \u2018RED UNDERCURRENT\u2019 FROM MIDTERMS IN SCHOOL BOARD RACES: \u2018PARENTS ARE FIRED UP\u2019<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Graham said she received a surprising amount of support after confronting the board member, recalling an exchange she had with a different member of the school board the next day.<\/p>\n

“I saw\u00a0one of the members of the school\u00a0board.\u00a0He looked at me a little odd.\u00a0I said I\u2019m sure you don\u2019t want\u00a0to remember who I am.\u00a0He said \u2018the cat.\u2019\u00a0I thought he would proceed to\u00a0chew me out,” she said. “He said, \u2018You know what, thank you so much for\u00a0getting up there and saying what\u00a0you said.\u00a0Thank you for being bold enough to\u00a0speak truth.\u00a0I\u2019ve been fighting this agenda,\u00a0fighting this teacher and this\u00a0school board member.\u2019”<\/p>\n

“There are people\u00a0on our side,” she continued. “All it takes is a few of us to\u00a0stand up and speak truth and\u00a0find the partners in crime, if\u00a0you will.\u00a0We really can unite together, and\u00a0fight back and save our\u00a0children.”<\/p>\n

Graham also made headlines<\/a> in December 2020 for defying state lockdowns and refusing to close her popular Oregon salon, prompting a fine of $14,000 from the state. She eventually sued the governor for $100,000 in damages due to the closure and the fine issued against her, igniting a national conversation about unconstitutional lockdowns and the rights of business owners in a time of what she described as “egregious government overreach.”<\/p>\n

“It’s my constitutional right to earn a living for my family,” she said at the time. “And I’m going to do it.”<\/p>\n

She later published a book titled “TARGETED: One Mom’s Fight for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” in which she detailed her fight to keep her salon doors open.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
