HBO Max will be reinstated on AT&T Inc’s (NYSE: T) <\/b>wireless plans. The telecom behemoth and Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed the signing of a\u00a0new agreement to permit AT&T to provide HBO Max to its cellular and home internet consumers after withdrawing the streaming platform from its most expensive unlimited data plan in June.<\/p>\n
A&T had removed HBO Max\u00a0 from unlimited plans\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Warner Bros. Discovery EVP Scott Miller stated, “AT&T continues to be an important partner and we are thrilled that HBO Max will continue to be part of AT&T internet and mobility plans. It has always been our goal to deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience with as many subscribers as possible and the return of HBO Max to AT&T plans ensures that even more people will have access to HBO Max’s world-class and award-winning content.”<\/p>\n
The announcement comes barely two months after\u00a0AT&T removed HBO Max from the\u00a0Unlimited Elite plan. In its reorganization of cellular plans, AT&T completely eliminated the Elite choice. Instead, it changed the name of its most expensive unlimited data plan to Unlimited Premium and started providing 50GB of hotspot bandwidth.<\/p>\n
Even with the new arrangement announced today, those who currently have Unlimited Elite or any other AT&T subscriptions that include HBO will continue to be able to utilize the streaming service.<\/p>\n
AT&T to bundle HBO Max with its cellular plans and home internet\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
It is not known when AT&T will resume providing HBO Max with its cellular plans or wired broadband choices. Additionally, it’s unclear which edition of HBO Max will be available and whether AT&T will extend the bundling to less expensive unlimited plans. HBO Max’s $15\/month ad-free service was included in AT&T’s Unlimited Elite plan. Still, the company also provided an unlimited plan through its Cricket prepaid plan with HBO Max’s less expensive ad-supported tier.<\/p>\n
