The\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamblind.com\/blog\/index.php\/category\/career-advice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">career guidance<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0offered by the software engineer also applies to people in other jobs and non-tech roles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Google engineer further added that the company&#8217;s interview process is slow as a potential employee meets up with several directors and vice presidents. In addition, being talented at what you do isn&#8217;t a skill set for the company because personal, social, and communication skills become critically important as one rise within an organization<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Apple and Google oppose new consumer legislation\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Senate Judiciary Committee is inching towards passing\u00a0legislation that protects the consumers. Companies such as Apple and Google have written letters opposing the new legislation. However, several smaller tech companies support the proposed legislation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The two proposed legislation include\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/3816\/text?r=8&amp;s=1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The American Innovation and Choice Online Act<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The legislation prevents companies from favoring services over others, and the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2021\/8\/11\/22620454\/apple-google-app-store-senate-play-bill-epic-games-fortnite\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open App Markets Act<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aims to promote competition on app stores.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The latest update of the Google Pixel&#8217;s reviews is not pleasant as one can&#8217;t control the volume of a multi-zone Google Cast speaker group. The U.S. International Trade Commission\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/1\/6\/22871121\/sonos-google-patent-itc-ruling-decision-import-ban\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ruled that Google copied Sonos Inc\u2019s (NASDAQ: SONO) technology and threatened to block imports<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0unless Google implemented five specific software tweaks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of Sonos&#8217; patents specifically dealt with controlling the volume of a multi-zone speaker group.
