Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A)<\/strong> reported on Monday that its fiscal 4Q profit surged 47 percent as the testing-and-measuring equipment maker was helped by a current acquisition and a tax benefit.<\/p>\n

But shares plunged 2 percent after-hours to $36.75 as the firm gave a muted guidance for the coming year and fiscal Q1.<\/p>\n

For the year, the firm anticipates adjusted earnings of $2.80 to $3.10 per share on revenue of $7B to $7.2B. Forecasters polled by Thomson Reuters currently projected per-share earnings of $3.33 on revenue of $7.16 billion.<\/p>\n

For the present quarter, Agilent estimates per-share earnings of 65 cents to 67 cents on revenue of $1.68B to $1.7B. Analysts estimated earnings of 75 cents per share on revenue of $1.76B.<\/p>\n


\nAgilent Technologies Inc.<\/strong> (NYSE:A) <\/strong>opened at $37.01<\/strong> with 348.44<\/strong> million outstanding shares and touch its highest \u00a0price of $37.98<\/strong> of the day and then finished at $37.51<\/strong> by scoring 4.75<\/strong>%, as in the whole session stocks gain volume of 5.12<\/strong> million shares which is higher than its average volume.
\nAs the owner ship concerns stock institutional ownership remained 81.88<\/strong>% while insider ownership included 0.14<\/strong>%. The share capital of A <\/strong>has 348.44<\/strong> million outstanding shares amid them 347.65<\/strong> million shares have been floated in market.
\nFor investors focus on the performance of the stocks so the A <\/strong>showed weekly ahead performance of 1.87<\/strong>% which was maintained for the month at -1.45%<\/strong>. Correspondingly the positive performance for the quarter was remained 1.05<\/strong>% and if took notice on yearly performance that was -2.04<\/strong>% whereas the year to date performance halted at 8.19<\/strong>%.<\/p>\n
