Microsoft already turned its back for its products on IE in August 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Microsoft turns away from IE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Teams, the chat software for the workplace, of Microsoft stopped working on IE the last fall. Microsoft\u2019s 365 Apps that comprise Office will stop working on Internet Explorer 11 by mid-summer this year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The market share of IE drops\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Microsoft\u2019s Internet Explorer, the widely used web browser, already on a downward trajectory for almost 20 years. However, it is in the market for almost 26 years serving corporate apps.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to NetMarketShare, the market share of IE declined from 50% in 2010 to 2.15% in 2021.\u00a0 The chrome browser of Chrome commands a market share of 67.14% in 2021.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Microsoft says IE is very slow and not suitable for modern-day web tasks. Also, its security is poor compared to its chromium-based Edge Browser, which commands a market share of 8.03% and growing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Microsoft released its chromium-based Edge browser in January 2020. It is entirely different from the Edge introduced in 2015.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Microsoft\u2019s new Edge occupies third place in web browsers. It is now bundled with Microsoft Windows 10 OS and replaces IE 11.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Apple is in a bitter battle with Epic<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ups its ante against Microsoft, evident from the recent bitter fight with Epic Games Inc in the court. The iPhone maker requested the judge in its Wednesday filing to act against an Xbox executive \u2013 Lori Wright and pleading to reverse her credibility.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lori recently testified on behalf of Epic in the trial. According to the request of Apple, Judge needs to ignore her testimony.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apple also made such requests earlier and strengthened its allegations in the new lawsuit. It says anyone who watches would doubt if Epic is working on behalf of Microsoft. However, Microsoft rescued itself from the trial by neither deputing any executives for testimony nor appearing as a party.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier, Epic said Apple is taking a significant share of its revenues from wares at its App store and termed uncompetitive and unfair. But Apple refuted the claim saying Epic used several witnesses related to Microsoft in the trial.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to a communiqu\u00e9 from Microsoft on May 20, 2021, Apple willfully distracts several companies\u2019 legitimate concerns. For example, Apple is not allowing game streaming in its App Store.
