It also shows that Hiya Protect can accurately detect different illegitimate and legitimate calls to protect subscribers from unwanted calls that have become a menace in the telephony sector.<\/p>\n<p>Nokia\u2019s Core Network Products VP <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/nokia-hiya-successfully-test-europe-143000569.html#:~:text=(%2D1.09%25)-,Nokia%20and%20Hiya%20Successfully%20Test%20Europe's%20First%20Cloud%2Dbased,Network%20Integration%20for%20Call%20Protection&amp;text=Hiya%2C%20the%20leading%20call%20performance,cloud%2Dnative%20Telephony%20Application%20Server.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jitin Bhandari said<\/a> that this is a huge step in showing that integration of open solutions can help in accurately detecting spam calls. Bhandari said that this open cloud-based innovation and collaboration form is necessary for solving spam\/nuisance calls in networks and thus enhance the communication experience for subscribers globally.<\/p>\n<p>This test involved Nokia\u2019s native cloud IMS-based Telephony Application Server and Hiya\u2019s SaaS cloud internetworking in responding to service delivery requirements of the dynamic telecommunications network. Most importantly, the test showed how successful Hiya\u2019s alerting and detection capabilities can be which include spam, fraud, verified businesses, and legitimate callers. Also, it showed the smooth integration of the Hiya cloud with Nokia\u2019s core solution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Integration vital in protecting against spam calls <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Most importantly the integration had minimal effect on call set-up time as per industry standard service needs. Alex Algrad, Hiya\u2019s CEO, said that the project was a vital step in addressing carriers&#8217; needs of integrating cloud-based solutions at the network level. Algrad explained that spammers and fraudsters are complicated and they are always changing tactics thus Hiya\u2019s solutions will outsmart them by staying ahead. As a result, the integration at the network level via a public cloud is very vital to achieve this huge milestone.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Hiya Protect has huge potential compared to traditional security methods that rely on static blocking lists created from customer complaints, post-event data, and shared known spam lists.
