This is part of the company&#8217;s efforts to enhance operations and prepare the resumption of operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AIDA Cruises to commence sailing next month<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company indicated that three ships of the Germany cruise line that halted operations in March due to COVID-19 pandemic will resume sailing next month. The first ship will sail on August 5, and will be AIDAperla from Hamburg. AIDAmar and AIDAblue will follow on August 12 and 16 from Rostock-Warnemunde and Kiel, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>AIDA Cruises stated that it will implement safety and health measures that include a digital health questionnaire before sailing. Other guidelines include temperature checks for crew and guests and following social distancing rules and routing systems on departure and arrival. Similarly, the cruise line will manage capacities in bars, restaurants, sports, theatres, and wellness areas.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, there is a lot of uncertainty in the cruise industry, but Tigress Financial\u2019s Ivan Feinseth believes Carnival will weather the <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/carnival-german-cruise-line-resume-150006764.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COVID-19 headwinds<\/a>. In a note to investors, Ivan indicated that although there is uncertainty in the near-term, Carnival&#8217;s strong leadership and brands have been driving solid booking trends.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carnival announces leadership restructuring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company is enhancing its leadership, and Gus Antorcha, who is the current COO of Carnival Cruise Line, has been appointed Holland America line&#8217;s President. He will report to the Group CEO of Holland America and Carnival UK, Stein Kruse. The current President of Italian Costa Cruises, Neil Palomba, was appointed as Carnival Cruise Line&#8217;s executive VP and COO reporting to the President of the brand, Christine Duffy. During the transition period, the Costa Cruise team will be reporting to Costa Group and Carnival Asia CEO, Michael Thamm.<\/p>\n<p>Carnival CEO, Arnold Donald, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/carnival-corporation-names-antorcha-to-lead-holland-america-line-palomba-as-coo-for-carnival-cruise-line-301090689.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">indicated<\/a> that the leadership changes show the company&#8217;s strength and depth in enhancing global operations.
