TJX Cos. shares surged 71 cents, or 1.7%, to $41.68 in morning trading. <\/p>\n
The Framingham, Mass.-based firm, which also runs HomeGoods and other stores, declared net income of $461.6M, or 62 cents a share, for the three months ended Oct. 27. That was increased 14% from earnings of $406.5M, or 53 cents a share, a year before. <\/p>\n
