The main aim of this move is to counter the streaming services of rivals such as <strong>Sprint<\/strong>, <strong>T-Mobile<\/strong>, and <strong>Verizon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Free for unlimited premium mobile customers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AT&amp;T will offer free shows to mobile customers, who subscribed to premium unlimited data plans. Mobile customers enjoy free HBO service from November 3, 2019. The company would also entertain mobile users with more services from HBO Max in May 2020. According to a communiqu\u00e9 from a spokesperson of AT&amp;T, HBO facilitates streaming service under the unlimited Elite plan to the customers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Verizon offers marvel comic films<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the agreement it entered with Disney Plus on October 22, 2019, Verizon will start offering its customers access to the National Geographic, and the Star Wars from November 12, 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>T-Mobile customers access Netflix<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The premium subscribers of T-Mobile already enjoy access to Netflix since September 2017. The company started collecting an additional $2 from its existing mobile customers, who availed the promotional offer, every month from February 2019. However, it offers downgraded Netflix as a value add-on for (Magenta) subscribers, who are unwilling to pay additional amount. The basic plan and standard plan customers of T-Mobile are charged a monthly fee of $8.99 and $12.99.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mobile carriers add more customers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>T-Mobile added 754,000 postpaid subscribers in Q3, 2019. The company generates consistent revenues every month from postpaid customers than prepaid, who are likely to switch to other partners. AT&amp;T and Verizon added 101,000 and 444,000 new subscribers during the same period.<\/p>\n<p>T-Mobile entered a pact to acquire Sprint. The company has received the nod from the Federal Communications Commission, and the Justice Department for the takeover. But, it still needs to overcome an antitrust challenge filed by the State Attorney Generals coalition. The lawsuits filed by New York and California would come up for hearing on December 9, 2019. However, Mississippi and Colorado support the deal.
