The new arrangements will allow Forbes to directly publish content on the Civil platform. This makes Forbes the first major brand to start experimenting its content with the blockchain company.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Why civil<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Civil is a blockchain backed journalism startup that banks on open governance and cryptocurrencies to disseminate news and journalistic. It promotes ethical journalism by designing peer to peer exchange of value between reporters and journalist.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Forbes\u2019s powerful CMS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Forbes is integrating its highly innovative content management system (CMS) Bertie with cavil\u2019s blockchain software. By integrating Bertie with the blockchain software, it will enable better protection of content authorship and better control of content right.<\/p>\n<p>As from the begging of 2019 journalist will be able to upload their data to cavil\u2019s network while at the same time posting to the Forbes website.<\/p>\n<p>US business news outlet AXIOS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/forbes-major-media-company-publish-blockchain-b101f809-7c43-4f68-9b2a-cdb1e81de753.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a> that Forbes would initially focus only on crypto related news items. Nevertheless if the experiment deems to be successful other news pieces will be posted on the blockchain platform.<\/p>\n<p>Forbs aim that by experimenting with the civil platform, it will increase trust with its vast global audience. Additionally, it hopes to take part in emerging opportunities and expand its revenue streams. \u201cWe are relentlessly focused on rapid experimentation and implementation so that we can determine what\u2019s in the best interest of our audience and what is next for our industry,\u201d Salah Zalatimo, Senior Vice President of Product and technology at Forbes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbtc.com\/2018\/10\/10\/forbes-to-publish-content-on-blockchain-journalism-network\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">remarks.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Civil believes the agreement they have entered Forbes will be a big milestone for their blockchain journalism project. Chief Executive Mathew says \u201cCavil\u2019s mission is to sustainable power journalism throughout the world, and Forbes\u2019 commitment to regularly publish content on our platform is a major milestone for our approach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Previously Civil partnered with news agency associated press. The popular news agency aims to use the blockchain to copyright its contents, track the usage and support ethical journalism.
