Lebanon\u2019s pro-entrepreneurial posture will earn a blockchain reward in form of an upcoming event. The country will play host to ConsenSys\u00a0blockchain developer bootcamp beginning the 17th<\/sup> of October. According to the event\u2019s website<\/a>, the occasion will involve a coding training program over 3 days. There will be a further 2-day hackathon \u201cwhere participants will be required to create projects in line with learnt knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n

ConsenSys\u00a0Blockchain Developer Bootcamp to spread the blockchain \u201cgospel\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The announcement further details the event will provide participants with relevant skills set to be employable in the blockchain<\/a> ecosystem. This is in response to the rising demand for the skills as the technology expands. Part of the reason for undertaking the bootcamp is \u201cto create awareness around blockchain in Lebanon.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is probably due to the fact that Lebanon has one of the most enterprise-focused policies in the region. Arabianindustry.com<\/a> quotes Marc Ziade, Business Operations & Strategy Director at ConsenSys and Lebanon Bootcamp Lead as saying:<\/p>\n

“Lebanon has always adopted an entrepreneurial approach in dealing with challenges; and the startup ecosystem has been growing in the recent years. There are a lot of developers and entrepreneurs looking for some expert guidance and direction.\u201d<\/p>\n

Social impact program<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Further, the local news outlet reports that the ConsenSys\u00a0blockchain developer bootcamp is part of the firm\u2019s wider social-impact programs. In view of this, the event has free attendance space for refugees who are conversant with basic coding. Other participants will pay $250 and $450 for students and professionals respectively.<\/p>\n

The blockchain technology firm will also work with government agencies to leverage blockchain technology in mitigating problems facing Lebanon.<\/p>\n

Asim Janjua, ConsenSys Director in MENA region comments:<\/p>\n

“Finding and honing tech talent and innovation in the Middle East is a primary objective of ConsenSys. This initiative is a testament to this. We look forward to working closely with our partners in Lebanon to find this next generation of brilliant minds and help define the many use cases in this country that could benefit from blockchain technology.\u201d<\/p>\n
