The market has a new technology Hyperledger Sawtooth 1.0, from the Linux Foundation. The open-source blockchain is said to be officially ready for enterprise use and that it is the latest open source digital ledger project. It is the second to go live after Fabric 1.0 in July 2017 and will be used particularly for building, deploying and running business blockchains.<\/p>\n
Among those who have contributed to the development of the Sawtooth project is James Mitchell, CEO at Bitwise IO who explains that they thought about taking advantage of the so many upcoming Bitcoin platforms. Mitchell further outlines that the software has a wide range of focus on fundamentals. Nonetheless, it is already in use by various tech companies such as Huawei, Cisco, and T-Mobile.<\/p>\n
But why Hyperledger does need two similar projects?<\/strong><\/p>\n Brian Behlendorf, the executive director at Hyperledger says that there are different ways of approaching distributed ledgers. They include a mechanism for adversarial trust and mechanisms to guarantee the trust. However, he adds that it is up to developers to input meaningful differences in them.<\/p>\n Stamping Linux Foundation’s Behlendorf stated, “This is a huge testament to the strong collaboration of our growing community; I look forward to seeing even more products and services being powered by Hyperledger Sawtooth later this year.”<\/p>\n Hyperledger Sawtooth is designed to deliver multiple capabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n There is a lot to write home about Hyperledger Sawtooth regarding what it has to offer.\u00a0 \u00a0The project\u2019s maintainer Dan Middleton says that the software has advanced capabilities one of them being on-chain governance. It also offers an advanced transaction execution engine for processing of transactions, which speeds up the block creation and validation.<\/p>\n Other features of this software include enabling administrators to modify the blockchain consensus protocol as well as the integration of more scalable algorithms.
