The company \u2018s <em>Atwood Achiever<\/em>\u00a0drillship is now positioned offshore Senegal in the Cayar Offshore Profond block and has commenced operations as the company targets the Yakaar prospect which is located 40 kilometers west of the Teranga discovery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kosmos chairman and CEO Andrew G. Inglis says the company\u2019s partnership with BP in Senegal and Mauritania has been fruitful in positioning the company strategically to achieve sustainable growth by delivering Tortue gas development. He adds that the company\u2019s prospects for 2017 are ripe as they plan drilling of the most prospective exploration wells of the industry in the second phase exploration that mainly targets liquids offshore Senegal and Mauritania.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kosmos and supermajor BP\u00a0entered in a partnership in December 2016 with the aim of advancing the development of the recently discovered gas resources offshore Senegal and Mauritania. The partnership was also formulated with\u00a0\u00a0 a mission to advance and accelerate a multi-well exploration project\u00a0\u00a0 aimed at testing the potential of the liquids and strengthen Kosmos\u2019 balance sheet by cutting on capital expenditure requirements in addition to providing financing for the exploration I the area as well as development program in the short and long run.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company acquired block Blocks C6 and C12 located offshore Mauritania in January 2017 and will be completed in the first quarter of 2017.\u00a0 In the fourth quarter, Kosmos started survey on Blocks C8 and C13 located in Mauritania which was completed in January 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the TEN project which is operated by Tullow Oil in Ghana, Kosmos says that the remediation work on the <em>Jubilee<\/em>\u00a0FPSO turret is going on well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kosmos is a <strong>top energy stocks <\/strong>and independent gas and oil exploration and Production Company mainly engaged in emerging and frontier areas in the Atlantic Margin.
