(NASDAQ:SIRI) Turns Its Attention To Inmates Through Its Powerful Audio Documentary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sirius XM Holdings Inc. <\/strong><strong>(NASDAQ:SIRI)<\/strong> has today stepped forward to make the announcement regarding its newest and unique series that captures a prison program which is taking advantage of technology to impact lives. &#8220;The Last Mile Radio&#8221; is set to commence its six-week run and that will of course be aired out through SiriusXM Insight channel 121.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sway Calloway, who happens to be working for SiriusXM will be tasked with hosting the audio documentary. From a number of trusted studies, it has been quite evident that the United States measures up to about 5% of the world\u2019s population and almost 25% of the world\u2019s prison population.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first episode of &#8220;The Last Mile Radio,&#8221; spans through a number of events and it comes to a point when the inmates are released. The question that lurks at this point in time is, \u201cWho do you want them to be?\u201d Beverly Parenti and venture capitalists Chris Redlitz are the two renowned tech entrepreneurs who have been much concerned with the need to serve inmates with technology education. Last Mile is depicted as a &#8220;tech accelerator&#8221; inside California&#8217;s San Quentin prison, serving the inmates with business skills and computer coding and above all availing second chances for them in life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The inmates are served with appropriate skills which should empower them to go grasp employment opportunities out there. There is high demand for computer coders in the society and the reentry of the inmates needs to be welcomed because they are reformed individuals after serving their prison terms. The society doesn\u2019t seem to be much welcoming to them and stigma reigns making their lives unbearable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Beverly Parenti, Co-founder and Executive Director, Chris Redlitz is pretty optimistic about what the future brings. He hopes that SiriusXM\u2019s program will go a long way towards changing the narrative about the incarcerated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The incarcerated are reformed people and it is important to offer them a second chance since that is the only way to get to benefit from them.
