(NASDAQ:AMD)<\/strong> makes a reveal of its 3 new powerful graphics cards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AMD is bringing in numerical branding rather than listing the top graphics cards under the Fury umbrella. All the graphics cards have been developed using the new Fiji chip technology that is essentially a revamped version of the company\u2019s previous platform. The new models will live up to the expected 4GB RAM inclusive of a high bandwidth memory (HBM).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The R9 Fury X is the tech company\u2019s flagship card that is expected to launch on June 14. It will be priced at $619,a move aimed at bringing more competition to its rival graphics card, the Nvidia&#8217;s GTX 980 Ti. The flagship device has a 4096 stream processors, a major improvement from the 2816 stream processors in the predecessor, the R9 290X. Other features to mark include 64 ROPs, a 67.2 GP\/s pixel fill rate, a HBM memory with 512 GB\/s of bandwidth, a six-phase VRM (voltage regulator module), and a 1050MHz core clock with 256 texture units.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the company, the card will perform very well when overclocking. AMD also announced that it has not decided on the pricing for the card in the UK though it is estimated that it will roughly cost \u00a3550. Additional benefits apart from the expected high performance include low energy consumption especially compared to some previous versions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another feature that is always a considerable aspect for a graphics card is the cooler. AMD has discarded the plastic cooler for a new design made of aluminum. It comes with a soft touch black and is also quite appealing to the eye. AMD has also managed to shrink the device to about 19cm (7.5in), an impressive feat considering the many transistors that make up a large part of the card\u2019s interior. The cooling system for the Fury X features a big 20mm radiator that marks up 500W of cooling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Radion logo comes with three different LED light colors i.e. green, red and green. The latter is particularly for the idle state. The other card is the air-cooled version called the R9 Fury which will cost $549. Its design is similar to that of the flagship model. Not much difference, but AMD might remove a few of the stream processors. The third card is the sized down R9 Nano. It is on the low end of the cards but still has the powerful kick. Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) also revealed a powerful PC called Project Quantum.
