On the desktop, it&#8217;s targeted at professional video editors or enthusiasts who are seeking an easy to use tool to edit lengthy video footage into short clips. Whereas on mobiles, the Hyperlapse app focuses on quick and convenient editing. Windows users can obtain Microsoft Hyperlapse Pro and start using it on their devices right away.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main difference between Instagram&#8217;s version of Hyperlapse that was released last year and the current Microsoft&#8217;s version is, you do not need to shoot a fresh video. Old videos can be processed by this software.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Novel software algorithm put into action<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Microsoft is leveraging a software algorithm to stabilize footage. Firstly, an approximate 3D model of the filmed landscape is generated. The next step pinpoints the dominant path of the camera through that landscape. Finally, the different frames are linked together to produce smooth and stable Hyperlapse that displays quality and relevant parts of the original video.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There exist two ways to process the pre-existing videos. A standard setting which has a faster processing speed and less camera movement. The second is an advanced version geared for footage from powerful cameras. The processing speed depends on the speed of your personal computer. For mobile devices, it takes slightly more time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The technology is able to detect when nothing important is happening in the video footage. This enables it to skip such sections such as when the person shooting the video is taking a break.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are three distinct products of Microsoft&#8217;s Hyperlapse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Hyperlapse Pro is targeted at Windows. Microsoft Hyperlapse Mobile is for Windows Phone as well as for certain Android phone devices. Lastly Hyperlapse for Azure Media Services, has the facility for developers to integrate Hyperlapse choices into websites and apps.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Microsoft&#8217;s Hyperlapse
