The decision for Lurie to take over was made by the board, citing that he would temporary guide the upcoming Company as well as helping out in the search for a new Chief.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of SurveyMonkey\u2019s spokespersons announced that the company had plans to involve potential candidates from the company itself. However, they will also consider candidates from the outside. It is not clear which decision will be the best in terms of insiders and outsiders. Reason being, a leader from within, would be ideal because he or she already knows how the company operates thus giving the candidate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the other hand, the company is a startup. Thus, there is a lot to know about handling the company&#8217;s external environment. Thus, a leader from outside the company might be ideal for the company&#8217;s performance and competitiveness in the external market. Whichever decision, hopefully, the new CEO will help the company get back on its feet after the loss of Goldberg. Additionally, the company still needs to take up a solid command of its respective market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the meantime, the company is still in some dark times and mourning following the sudden death of Mr. Goldberg. He passed away as a result of severe head trauma from an injury he suffered after falling from a treadmill while he was on vacation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Goldberg had been very fatherly to his company. During his time, he had guided the company through various successful activities and ventures. He was also a family man and a husband to Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook\u2019s Chief Operating Officer.
