Google has introduced its toughened NoSQL database to the cloud.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The cloud has been a major hit in the online management systems and security controls. By joining the cloud, most companies to expose their secret formula. NoSQL has played a very significant role for Google as a platform to introduce important services such as Cloud Bigtable, which has been in use for the last ten years. Big Table whitepaper brought the motivation for open source databases such as Apache Casandra<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Big table was also influential in the success of most Google services such as Google Earth and Gmail. They are based on the same open-source database technology. NoSQL databases have been a big success for cloud-based platforms. Initially, companies like Microsoft or Amazon simplified databases such as Azure Tables, Datastore or SimpleDB. Soon, the companies realized that these database technologies were becoming obsolete and could not accommodate the exponential growth of information in the technology front.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Data companies, therefore, had to adopt to more workable solutions. Microsoft adopted DocumentDB while Amazon came up with DynamoDB which it included in its initial database. The new database technologies resulted into more productivity as well as ease of management. The new database technology has a few extra benefits such as easier maintenance and providing an avenue or better service delivery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">NoSQL databases have therefore been a preference for most companies. Most of the databases have a lot of similarities. In fact, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Cloud Bigtable has been put into comparison with the likes of Azure DocumentDB and DynamoDB. The difference is that Google uses an HBase API while the other two which use Proprietary APIs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Google\u2019s Cloud Bigtable platform will be beta tested starting Tuesday. The service is expected to have at least three nodes of which each will deliver about 10,000 inquiries every second. It will maintain a constant speed of 10mb per second, and the service will cost $0.65 for each node.
