It is an independent and nonprofit organization that intends to reduce opportunity and achievement gaps for Hispanic and African American. President Barack Obama addressed the people at the MBK Alliance launch event. It was a grand event and was attended by Chief Executives from Fortune fifty companies, leading nonprofits organizations, entertainers, athletes, and former and current government officials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The contribution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sprint pledged $2 million and almost $3 million of in-kind donations to extend the availability of vital broadband resources. These are important for students who don\u2019t have access to a wireless network outside and inside the classroom. Joe Echevarria, the Chairman of MBK Alliance, said that the organization is honored to welcome Claure to the MBK Alliance Board. His commitment to serve and inspire young generation, entrepreneurial spirit and leadership will be instrumental in the company\u2019s success.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The launch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Obama launched the MBK initiative last year and challenged nonprofits, communities, and businesses to expand opportunities for jobs, education and volunteerism, for everyone, including Hispanic and African American. The program highlights important measures to connect young people to support and mentoring networks, and to get trained and acquire the skills needed to work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The expert view<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CEO of Sprint Corp (NYSE:S) said that he is a big believer in empowering youth with technology and education so that they can change their lives and even society for the better. As a Hispanic and Latino leader who has been successful in leading companies, he understands the challenges these young men and boys need to deal with everyday. It is an honor for him and also for Sprint to offer back as the team associates with MBK alliance.
