The company quickly rose to fame and became a worldwide sensation as the biggest feeder and fast food chain in the world. McDonald\u2019s quickly spread out to over 120 countries with an impressive customer base that exceeded 70 million people. This allowed the company to gain over $27 billion in profit on an annual basis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The massive success was attributed to the tasty foods that were available in McDonald&#8217;s menu as well as the awesome milkshakes that customers could access as one of the services provided. Through such products, the company was able to cement a solid loyalty that kept increasing as thus propelling the fast food chain to more success. The company, therefore, experienced phenomenal growth within a short period and thus quickly rose to become the king of the fast few industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There was competition from a few other firms, but they could never really amount to McDonald&#8217;s level of success. By the time the company was enlarging its operations in the 90&#8217;s, it had already mastered its business and operations model giving it more edge in the food industry. It was a household name that was a darling to many.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One might think that the company&#8217;s excellent status would live forever. However, that is not the case. For the last few years, the company has been experiencing decreased popularity, losses, and constant criticism. It all began with the controversy revolving around the unsafe nature of fast foods and junk foods. Additionally the changing market conditions and the quick growth of the fitness industry contributed to the decision by most people to abandon fast foods.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">New food companies have cropped up in the wake of the preference for healthier foods thus making it harder for McDonald&#8217;s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) to continue with the initial ease that it had.
