The primary objective is to grab more than 557 million Chinese users who look to access internet through mobile phones. The newest offering of Tencent is an open challenge for <strong>Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (NYSE:BABA)<\/strong> and <strong>Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)<\/strong> which have their separate operating systems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What Next:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tencent&#8217;s operating system is called TOS+. Some of its latest features include payment system and strong voice recognition. The information was revealed by Mark Ren, Chief Executive Officer, Tencent, during a conference that took place in Beijing recently. The conference was about global mobile internet. Tencent&#8217;s move has come after Alibaba announced launching its operating system. If all the mobile subscribers in China are taken into consideration, one can see that 90% people use Android operating system; hence, it&#8217;s going to be a tough road for Tencent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company has a strong presence in online gaming and looks forward to supporting play and virtual reality on TVs. Ren is hopeful about Tencent&#8217;s future and anticipates it to be a strong connector in the future. He anticipated the company to grow to that level where it connect all people, services and devices together. It has significant stakes in Riot Games Inc. and Activision Blizzard Inc. and wants to work with them in order to integrate its software into various devices including the famous smart glass.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company thinks that its ownership of QQ and WeChat will help it competing against Android in the near future. Android owned by Google had a total market share of 78% world-wide in 2013 followed by 16% market share of Apple iOS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Despite all the difficulties, the management of the company is determined towards the success of its operating system in the long run.
