As per the <a href=\"http:\/\/phx.corporate-ir.net\/phoenix.zhtml?c=117098&amp;p=irol-newsArticle&amp;ID=2039822\">reports<\/a>, the company managed to earn a net profit of $1.2 billion in 1Q2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Extra-Ordinary Profit Figures:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If net special charges are left aside, the net profit earned by the American Airline Group in the previous quarter ended March 31 was $1.73 per diluted share or $1.2 billion. It was three times of $0.54 per diluted share or $402 million that it managed to earn in 1Q2014. The pretax margin for the company in the first quarter was 12.7%, exactly 8.6% points higher than the previous year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If GAAP is taken into account, the total profit of American Airline accounted $1.30 per diluted share or $932 million in 1Q2015 as compared to $0.65 per diluted share or $480 million in 1Q2014. The company has made public the detailed financial report for shareholders&#8217; reference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Management&#8217;s Call: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The senior management of the company seems delighted to have announced this sort of financial performance. According to Doug Parker, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of American Airlines Group, it&#8217;s great to report a huge profit in the first quarter of 2015. The company had set a new record last year and achieving 300% of that performance looks beyond imaginations. It has set up the pace for the rest of the year. Parker gives due credit to 100,000 team members of American Airlines, who work round the clock to make things happen.
