The project is set to take off toward mid-year 2016, as soon as the company acquires the new passenger planes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new seats were designed by Boeing. They are currently on exhibition at the Aircraft Interiors Expo, which is held in Hamburg, Germany. Alternatively the seats can also be viewed online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swamedia.com\/new-seats\">www.swamedia.com\/new-seats<\/a>. The website showcases the seats in a 3D presentation. The pictures are also available for download.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company\u2019s executive president and Chief commercial officer, Bob Jordan, explained that the seats offer the widest and most comfortable lying experience in the airline market so far. He described the venture as a major milestone for the airline in terms of the company\u2019s endeavor to provide better customer experience. The seat update will also carry forward to the airplane cabin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The announcement has come at an opportune time, especially with the airline\u2019s upcoming acquisition of the new voluminous passenger planes. The planes have incorporated revolutionary designs especially in the engineering department as well as the body material. The engines are more fuel efficient, and the body is made of a blend of light aluminum and fiberglass. This combination of reduced weight allows for the plane to have extra seats fitted to add to its already high capacity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Boeing\u2019s new design also includes changing the seating arrangements. The new seats thus blend in with the features that the new airliners will boast of. Boeing is thus taking the opportunity make the new seating arrangement more fulfilling by incorporating the new design.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Southwest Airlines Co (NYSE:LUV)\u00a0plan on capitalizing on the new development. The deal will certainly attract more customers as well as give the company a retaining edge.
