The appointment of Psihas will be effective from October 27, 2014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Experience leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Based on the prior experiences, Psihas is primarily responsible to series of corporate activities including merger and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and integrations. He will also be responsible for the investment in emerging technology and commercialization of new technologies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to joining Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT), Psihas was working for the largest semiconductor capital equipment company \u2013 Applied Materials. He was the Corporate Vice President of Merger and Acquisitions and led business acquisitions of approximately $7 billion. It also included Applied Materials\u2019 recently merger of $28 billion with Tokyo Electron.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to Applied Materials, Psihas was also working in Eaton Corporation and Shell Oil Company and was holding several responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By education, Psihas holds a degree in Master of Business Administration from University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor\u2019s degree from Michigan State University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Strategic focus for development <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT) continues to support growth opportunities while expanding the overall businesses through collaboration with a diverse range of partners. The association may range from product innovation to systems integration to upgrade the scalability and flexibility and also to enhance the security system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT) is also expanding the services to new geographies through different types of engagements including the exploration of potential opportunities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2014, the company already signed a series of partnerships agreement including the recently held $90 million contract to sell military products to the Qatar Emiri Air Force and also the partnership with Japan to explore opportunities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So, Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT) intends to enhance a series of business development activities and requires a person who will be responsible for growing its business to the next level.
