It would not be an upgraded version of Windows 8.1. The company seemed to have learnt its experience on the launch and the after effects of Windows 8. Therefore, it preferred to be more cautious in unveiling the next version.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Material Step<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The marketing head for Windows was quite categorical when <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/microsofts-windows-boss-explains-happened-231726261.html\" target=\"_blank\">he said<\/a> that the Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) would not commit the same mistake of what it did when it developed Windows 8. The software developer spent extensively on testing the operating system before releasing it. The company\u2019s developers said to have used about 1.24 billion hours collectively to bring out the operating system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, the biggest issue was that the Windows team failed to take up the feedback seriously on its Windows 8 during the trial or testing run. The final product only made a number of analysts call the operating system as another Vista months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This time, Prophet said that the company would hear its customers, especially the enterprise users, before giving the finishing shape to operating system. His comments come on the heels of the enterprises preferring to upgrade to Windows 7 from XP by ignoring Windows 8.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He guaranteed that Windows 10 would be a material step and not an incremental step of Windows 8.1. He said that the company was trying to establish one platform and one eco-system integrating many of the gadgets from the small fixed Internet of Things, through phones, tablets, PCs and finally into its Xbox.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mystery On Windows 9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As the last launched version was Windows 8, there was every doubt as to what happened to Windows 9 after Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) revealed it was developing Windows 10 operating system. The marketing officer merely said that it came and went without elaborating further.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company released the Windows 10 Tech Preview two weeks back, and it witnessed more than one million downloads. Prophet concluded by saying that the objective of the company was to create the best operating system for the enterprise.
