The AUSA conference is being held at the Washington Convention Center, Washington DC and will conclude on 15th October. The contract is related to the supply of new generation \u201c3U VPX COTS Rugged Systems\u201d by Intelligent Platforms to BAE Systems. The cutting edge technology platform allows defence equipment and systems to achieve \u201cHigh Performance Embedded Computing\u201d at demanding temperatures and varied operating conditions.<\/p>\n<p>It was reported on 13th October that, The Advanced Turbine Engine Company (ATEC), LLC has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/atec-completes-second-test-achieves-key-milestone-on-new-helicopter-engine-278997931.html\">completed<\/a> the first round of successful testing of its second generation HPW 3000 engines. The company is a joint venture vehicle set up by Honeywell International, Inc. (NYSE: HON) and United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX). United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX) has invested into the JV via its fully owned division Pratt &amp; Whitney. The engines are being developed as part of the multimillion dollar \u201cAdvanced Affordable Turbine Engine Science and Technology\u201d program being funded by the Army Aviation Applied Technology Directorate. On successful testing and approval, the newly developed engines would be replacing the old engines which power the \u201cU.S. Army Black Hawk and Apache helicopters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>New report origination from HERZLIYA, Israel on October 13 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/supercom-to-implement-biometric-visa-e-passport-and-e-gate-national-security-systems-2014-10-13\">reported<\/a> that Supercom Ltd (NASDAQ:SPCB) indicated that it has implemented a new top end, cutting edge technology for a National Security agency of a fast-growing and geo politically important economy. The name of the country which awarded this contract has not been disclosed by the tech firm. The company provides solutions which form the back bone to e-Government initiatives of community governments globally.
