Boston, MA 10\/13\/2014 (wallstreetpr) \u2013 A10 Networks Inc (NYSE:ATEN)<\/strong> went down the hill last week, after it revised its third quarter revenues<\/a> downwards to $43 to $43.5 million. Earlier the company had estimated the revenues in the range of $48 to $50 million. The new forecasts falls below expectations of analysts, who have kept the estimate of $48.69 million in the third quarter. The revision in the company’s forecast comes on the backdrop of lower than expected bookings in North America and long duration cycles for the deals this year.<\/p>\n

Analysts Who Discarded<\/strong><\/p>\n

The second consecutive to match analysts’ expectations has rubbed hard against the A10 Networks Inc (NYSE:ATEN) that fell more than 11% during its last trading session. However, there are some who have rejected the company based on the latest development, while others have decided to give it another chance. For Pacific Crest’s analyst Brent Bracelin, the outlook is not so rosy for the company. The research firm has cut down its rating on the stock from Outperform to Sector Perform assigning a price target of $5 from earlier $9. The firm finds the company’s execution as faulty along with factors such as currency rough patches, delay in expenditure in Japan and other weaknesses has eroded the faith.<\/p>\n

Voicing same opinion is Citigroup, where analyst Ehud Gelblum though maintaining a neutral rating buy has cut down the price target from $9.50 to $5. He noted that it will take at least twelve to eighteen months for sales of the company’s security appliance to make meaningful contributions in the revenue.<\/p>\n

Tied Up With Hopes<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, one research group, which is still positive on A10 Networks Inc (NYSE:ATEN) is J.P. Morgan. Its analyst Rod Hall reiterated an Overweight rating and said that they continue to believe that the company offers good products that remain attractive.
