(NASDAQ:CMTL)<\/strong>\u2019s subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp. disclosed that it has been awarded $5.5 million worth of orders by the U.S. Navy\u2019s Advanced Time segment. This was the first order after it formally completed its Design Verification Tests.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Potential Contract Value<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Comtech Telecomm. Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) stated that it got $4.3 million order for production and $1.2 million for engineering services. Both the order was for the multiple access interface processor terminals, its <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/comtech-telecommunications-corp-received-5-140000323.html\" target=\"_blank\">statement<\/a> revealed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Comtech Telecomm. Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) indicated that the potential contract value was currently about $29.8 million and funded by the average amount of $16.1 million. The company said that multiple access interface processor terminals would change the Navy\u2019s inherited Time Division Multiple Access or TDMA interface processor. The design provided layer-2 for Ethernet bridging the gadget to be installed on shore, ship and submarine platforms in Navy\u2019s Multiband Terminal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the terms of the contract revealed earlier, Comtech Telecomm. Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) was awarded a contract to establish and offer engineering services. This included software design, as well as, development besides testing and evaluating support on the basis of a cost-plus. This was the first among the several orders predicted for the terminals production.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Management Speaks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Comtech Telecommunications\u2019 President and CEO, Fred Kornberg, said that this was an exciting time in the program associated with the navy. He said that the next generation gadgets would support expanding the capabilities and functionality of the American Government\u2019s protected network of MILSATCOM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Earlier Order<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A few days back on October 2, the company disclosed that it was awarded $1.7 million order for the supply of satellite communications equipment by a systems integrator in Asia. The Asian customer placed the order to support the expansion of the current infrastructure network based on its products. The order included specified mid-range high-speed satellite modems.
