The Friday price range still remains with a large 4% gap above the Thursday range. The daily candle formed was a small High Wave, suggesting nothing important in the current context. Obviously, this kind of jump would not be possible without a commensurate jump in the volume, which rose to 20.5 million against the average of 5 million only.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Covidien plc (NYSE:COV) made its debut in the exchange in July 2007 and soon made a top at $57 in 2008. The final bear market bottom came at $27.27 and the subsequent lows began to come at higher levels. The higher lows were suggesting long term buying taking place but still the stock faced supply pressure from $55-56 area. Finally 2012 saw a sustained break above this supply zone and a convincing higher high was registered, completing the long term bullish signal of uptrend.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One could note that since 2008, all the corrections came in smaller size than the previous one. The 2010 drop was smaller than the 2008, 2011 drop was smaller than 2010 and 2013 was smaller than 2011. The correction taking place in July-August 2014 is the smallest in the price history. This clearly points to very impatient bulls taking and keeping control for longer periods and the huge jumps this year support this scenario.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Covidien plc (NYSE:COV) has not touched the 200 day MA in the last 1 year and stands about 22% higher right now. It would be very risky for any investor to buy in the at this kind of elevated levels but definitely the 50 day MA can be used to buy, which stands at $87.85 now.
