(NYSE:NCI)<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.navigant.com\/insights\/library\/industry-news\/healthcare-center-aco\/\" target=\"_blank\">launched<\/a> a data-driven resource center as The Navigant Center for Healthcare Research and Policy Analysis. The Center will study the trend and understand the issues and provide valuable insights for the changing healthcare policy and their impact over the healthcare system of the U.S.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Research highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Center released its latest report having the title &#8211; \u201cThe Future of Accountable Care Organizations: How to Create Increased Shared Savings with Payers\u201d. It highlighted the new factors that drive the recovery in Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). It also introduces a new model (ACO 2.0) that will shift the financial and clinical risk to a unique platform of integrated networks having a bundle of payments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The report said that larger saving mostly shared by the providers, which can be optimized by recognizing the associated financial risk through strong network of high-performance practitioners in different health conditions. The research suggests that it is necessary to transform the traditional ACO model and includes the bundled payments for better outcomes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Bundled payments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In bundled payments, the saving potential is higher and also has faster actualization of the process for a large population. The new model will provide better outcome and benefits consumers while offering services at low-cost with limited hassles and redundancy in services.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Paul Keckley, MD, the Center for Healthcare Research and Policy Analysis, said that bundled payments are a new way to address the impact of changes in the healthcare landscape. It will streamline the process to create actual shared saving while transforming the traditional ACO model.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even, Navigant Healthcare\u2019s MD, David Zito said that the Center has the potential to bring a paradigm shift in ACOs.
