It pointed out that it could find about 5,000 live mussels in the enclosure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marrone Bio Innovations Inc (NASDAQ:MBII)\u00a0disclosed that it used non-chemical product in open water with 50 by 60 foot areas of containment and an average 2.5 feet depth. The treatment was initiated on September 8 to produce results eleven days later of 100% mortality in the treatment area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company stated that the staff from MCWD was in the treatment area to assess Zequanox effectiveness by counting dead mussels using collected mussels placed in cages through a thorough search of the area for mussels attached to rocks. The staff also assessed aquariums in a laboratory, where the treated water and mussels from the Lake were held.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Throughout the country, there was a widespread prevalence of invasive mussel populations in major waterways including the Mississippi, Tennessee, the Great Lakes Region, Arkansas, and Colorado rivers. The company pointed out that these mussels create environmental and economic impact on recreational water use.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Management Speaks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marrone VP for Regulatory Affairs, Keith Pitts, said that it was pleased that the product was very effective in the lake treatment. It said that Minnesota DNR and the watershed district were great partners and felt happy the way the company\u2019s product continue to deliver results for controlling invasive mussel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marrone Bio Innovations Inc (NASDAQ:MBII)\u2019s Zequanox was the industry&#8217;s only chosen environmentally compatible molluscicide that was approved first by the EPA in 2012. The product was useful in controlling mussel in enclosed systems, as well as, infrastructures for energy producers, golf courses, and manufacturing
